I took this shot during a model shoot session that Olivia and I set up one day. I knew that I wanted to take pictures of her and she kindly agreed so I jumped on the opportunity. She had never modeled for pictures before but she was really open to instructions even though it was extremely hot that day. The room made for a great studio to shoot in because all the walls were white so it threw around light everywhere like a giant soft box. I liked how fair her skin was because it really brought out other parts of the photo to focus on. Her tattoo, for one, was a big focus and I wanted to make sure it was in the picture because I really liked the design. Getting a natural relaxed pose is always one of the hardest parts for me personally when it comes to shooting people but after a few shots I grabbed this gem.
I used a camera mounted SB-900 flash on top of my Nikon D810 for this shot. This was a single picture which is different from my usual MO since I always tend to bracket shots. I edited this photo in Photoshop CS6 and applied some effect with Nik Color Efex Pro, which is now free online since google bought them out. Hope you like the results.
